A love of wildlife & nature seen through the work of printmaker James T.A. Osborne
An exhibition at the Emma Mason Gallery in Eastbourne, showing prints and paintings by James T.A. Osborne (1907-1979). Osborne was a master printmaker making linocuts, woodcuts and wood engravings based on images of nature and wildlife. Born in Sussex he attended Hastings School of Art and later the Royal College of Art, London. A Rome Scholar and one of the founders of the Society of Wildlife Artists, Osborne’s work is collected by museums across the world including the V & A, London and The Ashmolean, Oxford. All work in the exhibition will be for sale and can be viewed both at the Emma Mason Gallery and on their website. The works are the last available from the artist’s archive.
