We’ve worked closely with Towner Art Gallery and the team bringing the Turner Prize to Eastbourne this September.
We’ve supported “Eastbourne Alive” – a new project funded by the Arts Council to bring the Turner Prize, and the expected additional 125k visitors into the town centre.
This month, we have supported the installation of a temporary art piece in the town centre – by international artist Eve De Haan.
The striking installation, titled “It’s Nicer to be Nice” will be in situ until April and widely promoted, encouraging those visitors to the Towner to enjoy the town centre.”
It is the first of a number of temporary public art works in the town centre to celebrate the Turner Prize.
Stephen Holt, CEO of Your Eastbourne BID said “It is really important that the town centre is connected to the Turner Prize, and those visiting the Towner this year know that there’s an unrivalled cultural offering in our town centre –
including live performance venues and art galleries”.
The Towner will also be promoting the activity in the town centre, as well as maps on display in the town centre. If you would like to be featured on the map, please click here.
If you have a cultural event that you would like promoting via Eastbourne ALIVE – please click here for more details.
