Eastbourne's seafront today has a new landmark, with a thank you message to the NHS written on the stunning Western Lawns.
Chief Executive of Your Eastbourne BID, Stephen Holt said "We were contacted by Southern Land Services asking if they would be able to use their line painting robot to write a dedication to the NHS in time for Thursday's 8pm clap. We were able to speak to Eastbourne Borough Council and Visit Eastbourne and together we have produced a truly amazing result."
"We are indebted to the NHS and all the amazing keyworkers across the town and the UK for their sacrifice and dedication".
"Our thanks of course to Southern Land Services - John, Danny, Phil Evans and Jack Brownell at Eastbourne Borough Council, Shoes Simes and Tim Cobb, as well as the Eastbourne unLtd Chamber of Commerce for helping to bring this all together. Eastbourne looking clean, green and aquamarine!"
