Phase 2B Consultation

East Sussex County Council have confirmed a series of public consultations on Phase 2B. This is the works from Blacks to the Seafront along Terminus Road. Details from ESCC are below:

We are writing to inform you about the launch of our public consultation on Phase 2b of the Eastbourne Town Centre Movement and Access Package.

Through the Eastbourne Town Centre Movement and Access Package, we are working together with Eastbourne Borough Council to enhance and promote the vitality of the town centre.  The ongoing project aims to provide more space for people through the completion of a pedestrian spine route through the town centre, reducing the impact of traffic in the area, creating new public spaces and enhancing the public realm at key locations. By doing so, we aim to support housing, retail and business growth within the town centre.

Phase 2b of the Eastbourne Town Centre Movement and Access Package comprises of three schemes:

• Pedestrianisation and enhancement of Terminus Road
• Pedestrian improvements at Memorial roundabout
• Relocation of part of the town centre Ring Road

The public consultation on Phase 2b has launched today and will run until 11.59pm Sunday 20 November 2022.
