East Sussex County Council has updated us concerning the re-pedestrianisation of Terminus Road from Bankers Corner to Blacks.
There’s been a delay to the proposed works, as Highways have appointed a new contractor, who needs to go through due diligence. The raw materials have now arrived and are being safely stored.
We are liaising closely with the Council on this, and we will update businesses as soon as we receive any further information, particularly with regard to timescales. We have previously been assured that we would receive at least two months’ notice before work is scheduled to take place.
The new pedestrianisation scheme closely matches the design of Phase 1A (from the Train Station to Bankers Corner) and the plans can be found here:
