Eastbourne Boxing club Chairman, Adam Haniver, hosts his own podcast called, ‘The Boxing Coaches’ Podcast’.

Adam coaches within a great team of coaches at the Commercial Road based gym but is also a coach educator and international coach for England Boxing, the national governing body.

Adam says: ‘I’ve been focusing in recent years on the progress of coaching in general around boxing. We have some amazing coaches in England and we are one of the biggest players in world boxing at present. But I feel there are areas where if we focus, we can improve significantly.

‘The Podcast is an expression of this. I invite guests on not just from the boxing world, but from a multitude of sporting backgrounds. Many are experts on areas regarding skill acquisition, leadership, psychology and learning principles. I think we can now start looking at a holistic approach to boxing development and really tap in to how we can serve our boxers better, as athletes and as people.

‘Our coaching team at Eastbourne Boxing Club are superb. Really good coaches with an invested approach to not only our members but to our own development. This only serves to create better experiences within the environment we create.’

Eastbourne Boxing Club has just begun a campaign with Crowdfunder UK, raising funds to recruit and train up new boxing coaches.

‘We feel this will have a massive impact on the community for decades to come, with the legacy coaches can create in young peoples lives.’ – Adam Haniver, Eastbourne Boxing Club
